I am an undergraduate student studying Computational and Applied Math and Biology at the Colorado School of Mines. In Fall 2019, I began research under the guidance of Dr. Lanier. Our research focused on the applicability of contact lenses to increase the bioavailability of ophthalmic treatments as well as other methods of extended drug release using nano- and micro-particles. Dr. Lanier taught me pertinent biomedical engineering content and research skills so that despite being an underclassman, I was able to take an active and inquisitive role in all our experiments. I am currently completing my final year at the Colorado School of Mines and applying to medical school.
