I spent my undergraduate years at Colorado School of Mines working with Dr. Lanier under Dr. Anuj Chauhan, studying ophthalmic drug delivery methods via therapeutic contact lenses. This was my first introduction to a biomaterials lab, and my experience with Dr. Lanier inspired me to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at CSU with a focus on orthopaedic implants for guided long bone regeneration. My current research focuses on generating 3D-printed calcium phosphate scaffolds that deploy bioactive agents to aid in long bone critical defect healing.
