Sandesh Kulkarni

Hello my name is Sandesh and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree at the Colorado School of Mines in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, I am interning at a medical device company called ArcScan. I worked under Olivia as an undergraduate research assistant, also at Mines, and our projects mainly revolved around developing models for drug uptake and release through contact lenses. Ophthalmic drug delivery was a very novel concept for me but it was a great experience working with Olivia to investigate the process and further it. I also worked partially on projects concerning CBD nanoemulsions and the synthesis of CBD oleogels. Overall, Olivia was a great mentor that gave me insight into the world of research and allowed me to apply my knowledge from classes to novel problems
